Cottura respects your privacy. Here's our complete data practice:

• Who is responsible: Cottura is developed by Alexander Riesenbeck (Germany). Contact: see Support.
• No data collection by us: Cottura does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to its own servers. We have no servers.
• No analytics: No tracking, no usage analytics, no third-party crash reporters, no advertising.
• No accounts: No login, no email collection, no user identifiers managed by Cottura.
• iCloud sync (optional, on by default): If iCloud sync is enabled (More tab), your recipes, baked-pizza history including ratings, notes and photos, shopping items, sourdough starters and feedings, and active timers are synchronized between your own Apple devices via Apple's CloudKit private database. In addition, iCloud key-value storage holds a single marker of which app version you last saw, so the "What's new" note is not repeated on each device. This data stays inside your Apple Account — Cottura has no access to it. You can turn sync off any time; data then remains only on the device. Apple's privacy policy applies (apple.com/legal/privacy).
• Stored only on the device: Settings (units, oven, mixer, kitchen temperature) and your personal yeast calibration are kept locally and are not synced.
• Apple Watch, widgets, Live Activity: To show the running timer, the app shares timer and ingredient data with its own widgets on the device and with your paired Apple Watch (Apple's WatchConnectivity). Nothing leaves your devices.
• Notifications: Timer notifications are scheduled locally by iOS — no server is involved.
• Sharing a recipe as a file: The recipe (amounts, fermentation stages, notes, rating and — only if you choose so — its photo) is saved as a .cottura file. Where it goes (AirDrop, Mail, Messages, Files) is entirely your choice.
• Sharing a recipe as a QR code: The QR code contains a link to ariteq.github.io/cottura-website/r/. The recipe itself (amounts and stages, no notes, no photo) is encoded in the part of the link after the #, which browsers do not send to the server. If the QR code is opened without the app installed, the recipe is displayed by this web page directly in the browser. The page is hosted by GitHub Pages; like any website, GitHub may log technical access data such as the IP address (GitHub Privacy Statement). Cottura receives none of this.
• No third-party SDKs: Cottura uses only Apple's first-party frameworks.
• Your rights: Since we hold no data about you, there is nothing we could disclose or delete. You control all data yourself: delete it in the app, remove the app, or delete the iCloud data via Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → Cottura.

If you delete the app, local data is removed from the device. iCloud-synced data remains in your Apple Account until you delete it as described above or inside the app on any of your devices.

• iCloud-Sync (optional, standardmäßig an): Wenn iCloud-Sync (Tab „Mehr“) aktiviert ist, werden deine Rezepte, deine Back-Historie samt Bewertungen, Notizen und Fotos, die Einkaufsliste, Sauerteig-Anstellgüter und Fütterungen sowie laufende Timer zwischen deinen eigenen Apple-Geräten über Apples private CloudKit-Datenbank synchronisiert. Zusätzlich liegt im iCloud-Schlüssel-Wert-Speicher nur ein Vermerk, welche App-Version du zuletzt gesehen hast, damit der Hinweis „Neu in dieser Version“ nicht auf jedem Gerät erneut erscheint. Diese Daten bleiben in deinem Apple-Account — Cottura hat keinen Zugriff darauf. Du kannst den Sync jederzeit abschalten; die Daten bleiben dann nur auf dem Gerät. Es gilt Apples Datenschutzerklärung (apple.com/de/legal/privacy).
• Nur auf dem Gerät: Einstellungen (Einheiten, Ofen, Kneter, Küchentemperatur) und deine persönliche Hefe-Kalibrierung bleiben lokal und werden nicht synchronisiert.
• Apple Watch, Widgets, Live Activity: Um den laufenden Timer anzuzeigen, gibt die App Timer- und Zutatendaten an ihre eigenen Widgets auf dem Gerät und an deine gekoppelte Apple Watch weiter (Apples WatchConnectivity). Nichts davon verlässt deine Geräte.
• Mitteilungen: Timer-Mitteilungen plant iOS lokal — kein Server beteiligt.
• Rezept als Datei teilen: Das Rezept (Mengen, Gärstufen, Notizen, Bewertung und — nur wenn du es auswählst — das Foto) wird als .cottura-Datei gespeichert. Wohin sie geht (AirDrop, Mail, Nachrichten, Dateien), entscheidest du.
• Rezept als QR-Code teilen: Der QR-Code enthält einen Link auf ariteq.github.io/cottura-website/r/. Das Rezept selbst (Mengen und Stufen, keine Notizen, kein Foto) steckt im Teil des Links nach dem #, den Browser nicht an den Server senden. Wird der QR-Code ohne installierte App geöffnet, zeigt diese Webseite das Rezept direkt im Browser an. Die Seite liegt bei GitHub Pages; wie bei jeder Website kann GitHub technische Zugriffsdaten wie die IP-Adresse protokollieren (GitHub-Datenschutzerklärung). Cottura erhält davon nichts.
• Keine Drittanbieter-SDKs: Cottura nutzt ausschließlich Apple-eigene Frameworks.
• Deine Rechte: Da wir keine Daten über dich speichern, gibt es bei uns nichts, worüber wir Auskunft geben oder was wir löschen könnten. Du verwaltest alle Daten selbst: in der App löschen, die App entfernen oder die iCloud-Daten über Einstellungen → [dein Name] → iCloud → Speicher verwalten → Cottura löschen.

Wenn du die App löschst, werden die lokalen Daten vom Gerät entfernt. iCloud-synchronisierte Daten bleiben in deinem Apple-Account, bis du sie wie oben beschrieben oder in der App auf einem deiner Geräte löschst.
